2021 Motion for Extension of Time

On July 18, 2019, the LUC received Maui County’s request for comments for a 10-year time extension for continued quarry operations for Hawaiian Cement Pohakea Quarry. The LUC responded on August 22, 2019.

The Applicant sought a 15-year time extension for its existing State Land Use Commission Special Permit to continue operation of the Pohakea Quarry facilities on approximately 79.2 acres of land in the State Agricultural District, TMK: (2) 3-6-004:007, Maalaea, Maui, Hawaii.

The Commission issued a Decision and Order Approving the Time Extension on June 24, 2021.
